Afterward, babies continue to learn during 30 minutes of play with age-appropriate toys and activities. Storytime is a place for parents and caregivers to interact and have fun playing with their children. You are your child’s first and most important teacher. To help you with this role, storytime introduces important literacy, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math), and social skills that children need for kindergarten and that you can continue to explore at home. Now is also a great time to get a library card for your child. It’s a gift they can enjoy for years to come.
