Baby Play & Learn Storytime (Ages 0–18 months)
Babies are introduced to the rhythm and beauty of language during our 20-minute storytime with picture books, rhymes, bounces, and songs. Afterward, babies continue to learn during 30 minutes of play with age-appropriate toys and activities. All activities happen with babies on grown-up laps, so plan to attend in a one-to-one baby-to-adult ratio.
Space in our libraries is limited. Please call ahead if your group has 10 or more people.
Storytime is a place for parents and caregivers to interact and have fun playing with their children. You are your child’s first and most important teacher. To help you with this role, storytime introduces important literacy, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math), and social skills that children need for kindergarten and that you can continue to explore at home. Now is also a great time to get a library card for your child. It’s a gift they can enjoy for years to come.
