Prime Time en Español: Un Programa de Lectura Familiar / Prime Time Family Reading in Spanish

Prime Time en español es un programa de lectura para niños de 1ro a 5to grado y para sus familias. Leyendo, jugando, conversando, disfrutaremos de la lectura en español en familia. 

Las familias que participen recibirán gratis libros infantiles en español. Tambié recibirán una tarjeta de regalo para dispensa para cada sesión en que participen. El programa consta de 6 sesiones en línea. Por favor, planee a asistir a las 6 sesiones. 

Prime Time Family Reading in Spanish is a program for children in grades 1–5 and their families. With books, games, and discussion, we celebrate the joy of reading together as a family in Spanish. 

Families who participate will receive free children’s books in Spanish. Participants will also receive a grocery gift certificate for each session they attend. The six sessions of Prime Time Family Reading in Spanish will take place online via Zoom. Please plan to attend all six sessions. 

This program is intended for families who speak Spanish in the home. In order to enjoy the program, at least one adult and child should be able to understand spoken Spanish.

Prime Time Family Reading: Creekside Elementary

Reading is deeply important to every child’s development and success as an adult. The Prime Time Family Reading program works to forge deeper connections between children and literature and inspires families to read, think, discuss, and learn together. 

With books, games, and discussions, we celebrate the joy of reading together as a family. You’ll learn reading and discussion techniques that you can practice together, helping to bolster your child’s learning at home and giving your child a strong foundation for becoming a lifelong learner. Books will be provided at no charge to participating families. 

The six sessions of Prime Time Family Reading take place online, on an interactive platform. Please plan to attend all six sessions. 

 No internet? No problem! The library will loan you a mobile hotspot for 6 weeks so that you can connect to the program.

The world is gripped by a Zombie virus pandemic, but luckily, the Zombie Institute Lab is on the cusp of a cure. Unfortunately, someone sabotaged the lab! Work together with your team in a race against the clock (and other teams) to find the cure and identify the culprit by solving clues and puzzles. Costumes are encouraged. Grades 6–12
