Two-part program: lecture & hike 
Hear the story of Saltese dating back to when Saltese Flats was a lake and the recent efforts of many conservation partners to bring back an oasis for migratory birds and local recreationists (instead of a golf course). Saltese Uplands is one of the most popular parks in Spokane County, popular for its hiking and biking trails. After hearing about its history, we will hike and explore the natural beauty of Saltese Uplands. Adults 

Presented by Todd Dunfield of the Inland Northwest Land Conservancy 

Registration is required for the hike. Hiking participants need to register and sign a waiver.
