During National Celebrate Diversity Month, you’re invited to celebrate Spokane’s diversity with a history walk that includes sites and statues to remember, honor, and inform about some of the lesser known but important members of our community. Learn about the stories and lives of some of the Native Americans, African Americans, Asian Americans, and women who helped make the Spokane area what it is today. Follow the walk through Spokane to imagine what life was like for them as they put down roots and propelled the region from being a small settlement to the thriving region it is today.
