ABOUT THE ARTIST

Brandy Seistrup is the owner of Red Fox Ginger Studio. Working in acrylics, inks, and watercolors, she connects the world with her art as she feels it. Her works can be found in several public spaces and galleries and at exhibit shows and festivals she takes part in.

Brandy shares that “It’s the connection to the natural world that inspires my work—movement that mimics the unpredictable lines found in nature, lines that are never straightforward, and movement that can't be controlled—reminding us to let go, trust how we feel, and see the beauty in the abstract.”

Raised in several regions across the United States, she considers Louisville, Kentucky, her hometown. Brandy currently resides in Spokane, Washington, where she works within the community to open others to the necessity of art and encourages the growth of community art projects. Brandy teaches private and group classes specializing in art created with alcohol inks.

She has a background in sales and has been mostly self-taught in the field of fine arts. And art has always had a place in her life. She advocates the importance of the arts to both ones’ personal well-being and to society as a whole. She contributes overcoming emotional hardships and childhood trauma to the opportunities she has had to be creative.
